CHRIS MCNABB (they/them) is a New York-based filmmaker, two-time Emmy Award-winning editor, and Sundance Documentary Edit & Story Lab Fellow. They edited the documentary Whose Streets? (Magnolia Pictures), which opened the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, and was later nominated for two Gotham Awards, a Critics’ Choice Award, and a Peabody Award. Additional documentary editing credits include Magnolia Pictures' Invisible Beauty (Sundance + Tribeca 2023), Hulu + The FADER’s Look At Me: XXXTENTACION (SXSW 2022), Narrowsburg (DOC NYC 2019), and {THE AND} Marcela & Rock (Sundance 2015). 
Fiction editing credits include Valentine (Tribeca 2022), The Three Men You Meet At Night (Fantastic Fest 2020), and The Rat (Sundance 2019). Their directorial debut, the short film Valentine, screened at over 20 festivals, including Tribeca, Palm Springs, and Outfest. Currently, they are editing a feature documentary about Megan Thee Stallion (TIME Studios + Roc Nation) as well as the animated documentary Chain of Rocks directed by Damon Davis.
Chris graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Film Studies.
